Apeal to force
Those who want to live, let them fight, and those who do not want to fight in this world of eternal struggle do not deserve to live."-Hitler
Hitler obviously was a crazy, mad man that wanted alot of power. He would do anything to acheive. This quote is a good example of how sicotic he was: for my argument this was a great quote, because it shows anger, and hate, which leads to force. We all know hitler was the leader of a terrible masas murder which is why it was a good example.
-Keegan S. Wallace
This quote was a good example of appeal to force, which states, "threats, or even violence. On the Net, the usual threat is of a lawsuit. The traditional religious threat is that one will burn in Hell. However, history is full of instances where expressing an unpopular idea could you get you beaten up on the spot, or worse."
ReplyDeleteI'm unsure whether you were explaining the quote in the second paragraph, or whether that was your example of a fallacious argument. By saying things like "Hitler was a crazy mad man," or "how psychotic he was," you are using Emotive Language. You are using words that get a negative emotion from people toward Hitler to prove your point. Either way, you are missing a part of the assignment. You needed to explain how the quote you found expressed two types of fallacious arguments, and you also needed to write your own.
